My day at Motat

"Mummy and Daddy said we were going to see some 'busss' and 'airpanes' at Motat...I got really excited...yay!"
-
" I wanted to go for a run around the place...but I had to have some photo's taken first...Oh let me down Daddy I want to run riot!"
-
"Hang about...nobody told me there was a park here too...this place rocks!"
-
"Yay...The Buses!...I'm going to run up and down between the buses - and I'm going to be shouting out "Yay Buses!" over and over and again..."
-
"Oooh...I didn't know the bars were there to keep the little kids out of the displays...oh well..."
-
"this is more like it too...I get to drive a big red Fire Engine"
-
"Daddy said he wanted to go home...but Mummy and I were having lots of Fun....so we locked him up"
-
"I was trying to find the airpanes...so I ran to a bunch of people to find help"
-
We finished off the day having a ride on the Earthquake ride...mummy squealed more than I did! - Thanks mummy and daddy I had way-fun at Motat!"

Grantz comes to stay!

Last weekend Grantz came to stay. We had pretty good weather all weekend so we got to hang out at the beaches and parks for quite a lot of the weekend which was great. Sophie got lots more pressie's for her birthday from Nicci which made her day too!
-
Happy times at the beach with Grantz

Sophie trialing out for the NZ scoccer team...
-
...then off for a spot of sandcastle building
-
I'm not sure what this is...but Sophie wanted some!
-

Now that Sophie has turned two, she has been shifted out of the 'under 2's' section of Kids Klub and put in with the big kids. I wish I could say that Sophie loves it...but sadly she isn't enjoying it as much. Normally she'll get really excited in the morning when Ingrid mentions 'Kids Klub', but lately her bottom lip has been dropping and she's been saying that horrible two letter word whenever it's mentioned ....'NO'. The teachers have been trying to slowly integrate Sophie into the older section, but sadly, she is by far the youngest in there, as most of the kids are 3-4 years old and thus, obviously, far more developed than our little Soph.
-
Still, she absolutely loves playing outside while she's there, but is struggling with the structured systems they have in place while they're all stuck inside, and when it's raining of course...she's far too little to be told to sit down in a semi circle and sing 'nursery rhyme's' or to read stories with the other kids etc. It's not all complete doom and gloom though, a few of her younger buddies she's made friends with are about to cross over to the 'over 2's' and will join her in the next few weeks which should make her happier, and to be fair, it's going to take Sophie a little while to adjust to new people and the new systems they have in place, it's just sad seeing Sophie looking a little lost and confused, and spending a lot of time hanging out by herself while she's there because she's too young to communicate with the older and more boisterous kids.
-
Happy times at home though - Sophie getting excited becasue she's about to go 'spinning'
