Coffee group day
Well the countdown is on and even though we haven't passed the due date yet, every day feels like an eternity! I think it just makes it worse because everything is ready and I have nothing to do...besides I feel like I am growing everyday now and I seem so uncoordinated! I keep bumping into everything, dropping stuff on the floor which takes such an effort to pick up, breaking glasses, spilling food and drink all over myself and just feeling like a complete mess on a daily basis - not to mention the fact that I have one very unflattering outfit that I wear day in, day out - and have I mentioned the swollen ankles, hands and face? I have attached a very unflattering photo of my ankles but please don't show this to any young children as it may scar them for life!
Today was coffee group, there were six of us there today, three with babies out and three with babies still in! Was nice to just sit, relax and moan to each other though and I must say that the ladies with the babies all look really good, happy and skinny! Lucikly there haven't been any horror story births so far, or at least if there has been they are keeping it to themselves! Went and had a coffee with my lovely husband and then a social visit with some of the other Radioworks staff, and that was pretty much my day!
Ingrid - mum to be.

We didn't do the coffee group thing until we crashed a friends coffee group and wished we'd done it sooner. It's the best place to share experiences, moan about stuff, laugh and cry. Even though we are miles away from our coffee group buddies, we still keep in weekly contact. In fact we are off on holiday with some of them to the Gold Coast in a few weeks, so that just proves the bonds that you build through them. So yeah, keep going to them, they've helped us as parents so much. Though once being the only guy in a room full of breast feeding mums was a little weird!
