Last weekend we made an impromptu decision to go away for the weekend to a place that Ingrid and I absolutely love...Tutakaka. It's less than 2 hours drive from Auckland, a great place for kids, nice beaches, stunning views and most of all - very relaxing!

A great trip up North and even better way to see off summer. The kids absolutely loved the place, especially playing in the park next door to our room, swimming in the pool and even chilling in the groovy spa pool afterwards!
We also managed to catch up with our friends Jonesy and Kaye and their 2 very cool kids, Cassidy and Ryan.
A great trip and just what the doctor ordered.
